316 stainless steel is vastly superior to the brass and aluminum water methanol injection nozzles used by our competitors in terms of strength, hardness, corrosion resistance, and longevity. While it is a more expensive material, 316 stainless steel is arguably the best choice for machining water methanol injection nozzles. Our water methanol injection nozzle cartridge is constructed from 316 stainless steel and is designed to be inserted directly into the nozzle. When fully inserted, the cartridge makes contact with the atomizer to ensure it is centered and properly seated against the nozzles orifice. At the top features a custom-made, press-fit, 10-micron stainless steel filter, which is the same style used in OEM fuel injectors. This filter prevents particles 0.0003 and larger from passing through. Additionally, an EPDM o-ring along the side ensures a fully sealed, filtered design.

Lastly, the cartridge assembly houses the sliding check valve piston and spring. This easy to service and repair check valve design makes it easy for customers to clean and rebuild when needed. 

The purpose of the nozzle cartridge spring is to maintain constant downward pressure on the nozzle cartridge and atomizer. The atomizer must always remain pressed and seated against the nozzles orifice in order to spray a hollow cone. If the atomizer is just slightly unseated the nozzle will spray a solid stream vs cone pattern.A pad is located at the top of the nozzle cartridge for the spring to rest upon. We designed the spring with a slightly smaller ID so that it clips onto the cartridge.

When the water methanol injection nozzle assembly is screwed into the nozzle holder, the spring makes contact with the interior of the nozzle holder, pushing the nozzle cartridge downward. This constant pressure ensures the atomizer remains firmly seated against the orifice, maintaining a proper spray pattern regardless of vibrations or boost.








The primary function of the nozzle atomizer is to spin the fluid immediately prior to its exit from the orifice, resulting in a hollow cone spray pattern. The atomizer also regulates the nozzle's flow rate; increasing the number of slots permits greater fluid volume into the spinning chamber, while fewer slots reduce the flow.

Users may adjust the water methanol injection nozzles flow rate within established parameters for each orifice size by replacing the atomizer. This provides a cost-effective alternative, particularly for direct ports, as it removes the necessity of purchasing multiple complete water methanol injection nozzles.

This nozzle is designed to pass through the manifold so that the tip sits flush with the inside of the runner.
